Preparations for Nakuru ASK show on top gear

Preparations are on top gear for the Nakuru national agricultural show scheduled for July 3rd to 7th with over 150 exhibitors having confirmed their participation.

Addressing on Monday during a media breakfast meeting ASK Central Rift Nakuru Branch Chairperson Ms Margaret Anami said all is set and they expect more exhibitors to participate in this year’s show.

The sectors include Agriculture, livestock, fisheries, horticulture, seed companies, trade sector, financial sector and manufacturing companies.

Other sectors that will be exhibiting various innovations in technology and agriculture are Universities and tertiary Insitituions, motor vehicle companies, textile companies,Ministires and parastatals, services sector, hospitality industries, research bodies and health and insurance companies among others.

The theme for this year’s show remains ‘Promoting innovation and Technology in Agriculture and Trade’.

Ms Anami calling on all farmers and entrepreneurs with innovative business ideas to take part in this premier event which is an avenue for the display of technology and innovations.

She added that the only way to strengthen the Government’s big 4 agenda is by citizens embracing the ASK show where they can learn new technology towards food production.

“I want to call on the residents of Nakuru to embrace the show because this is the only way we can learn more from exhibitors and also contribute towards the Big 4 agenda” she said.

On  matters security, Several ASK Central Rift Nakuru Branch Chairperson says several meetings have been held with county security top leadership to ensure all measures are in place as far as  security for the exhibitors and guests is concerned.

She revealed that the plan to install the CCTV cameras that was initiated last year is also in progress hence assured the exhibitors and guests of maximum security.

“As far as I am concerned we shall have maximum security as we have engaged the top security team. We have also CCTV cameras installed in all the gates” said Ms Anami.
