Political parties have no room to gag MPs,says Kuresoi South legislator

A day after a public spat between deputy president William Ruto and Raila Odinga over the alleged plans to infiltrate Jubilee party and wreck havoc, Kuresoi South MP Joseph Tonui has weighed in on the war of words accusing the former premier of undermining the deputy president’s delivery of services across the country through machinations.

Speaking in Nakuru town, Tonui said that the former premier is known for arm-twisting within parties and as such can’t be trusted to ensure that nothing affects the political establishments int he country.

He further said that political parties should give an humble space to the members of the parliament to exercise their responsibilities that the electorate gave them to advance saying that gagging of the MP’s by the parties is outdated practice.
