Police in Nakuru on Thursday recovered 2 guns suspected to have been used by a group of criminals terrorizing residents through robbery activities in Ahero Village,Bahati Sub County.

According to Nakuru County Police Commander Hassan Rashid Barua, detectives acted on information provided by a suspect they arrested on Wednesday after a robbery incident in Bahati where three women were raped and assorted household goods arrested.

“The robbery was was executed by three armed men.Following the sting operation, police recovered one HK21 machine gun, a ceska pistol and forty two rounds of ammunition. We also recovered a training certificate and a sack stitching machine which had been stolen in Bahati yesterday” said Barua.

Barua added that those three suspects were arrested in connection with the incident and will be arraigned in court on Friday.

The County Police Commander also revealed that police have obtained useful information that will assist them arrest the other suspects who are still at large.

This even in the wake of a recent crime wave that had hit Bahati area culminating into a series of robberies.

The suspects were taken to Nakuru Central Police station for interrogation.
