NTE Parliamentary aspirant Wakili Ndumia outlines plans he has for Smart Ladies

Nakuru Town East Parliamentary aspirant Wakili Boniface Githinji Ndumia has outlined plans he has for Smart Ladies, Hope Worldwide and Vision Ladies.

Speaking on Tuesday when he met the groups, Wakili Ndumia noted that the lot has gone through a lot of harrasment in the past, but a time is now for such to be addressed.

He assured them of his support moving forward to ensure their welfare and rights are protected.

“Harrasment of smart Ladies should be condemned. They cannot be criminalized,” he said.

He at the same called for the need for some of the laws to be reviewed to avert gaps.

“We all have equal rights to protection by the constitution,” he stated.

Wakili noted that matters health should be taken seriously including reproductive health.

During the meeting, Wakili Ndumia heeded to the request made by smart Ladies on commodities.

“We shall ensure commodities available at a container stationed at Langalanga Hospital so that you can also protect yourself,” he told them.

This even as statistics indicate that Commercial sex workers have increased in Nakuru to 3000 currently.

Under his leadership, Wakili Ndumia has vowed to empower those who have been in the business so that they can engage in other jobs for livelihood and avert more girls from joining the ‘business’.

Through private and public opportunities, he revealed that he shall ensure some of the members get absorbed in various departments.

Wakili Ndumia also used the moment to call on Nakuru residents to make the right decision on ballot come 2027.

He pointed out that poor leadership is as a result of poor decisions made on ballot.

“We need to bring about change in leadership in Nakuru Town East and Kenya as a whole where everyone is respected,” he said.
