Njoro residents castigate former MP over reckless utterances

A day after a drama ensued pitying Njoro MP Charity Chepkwony and former MP Joseph Kiuna over the latter’s utterances, locals from Njoro sub-county have castigated the unfortunate comments by Kiuna over the death of a man and called for his immediate arrest.

Speaking in Ndeffo centre, the residents said that the calm and peace enjoyed by the cosmopolitan communities in the area for the past 10 years should not be sacrificed by politicians out to make their relevance in politics saying that the two sub-counties of Njoro and Molo should be treated with care when political statements are made.

“We have had peace in this area and there is no need for one to incite communities” said the locals.

The locals drawn from the dominant communities in the area said that any criminal should be treated as so and not as community suspect in order to avert acrimony in the future.

This even as NCIC issued a warning to politicians making inflammatory statements that could trigger animosity and hatred even as they indicate that they are seized of the matter of the alleged politician in collaboration with the National Police Service.
