Njoro Member of Parliament Charity Kathambi has called on Kenyans to use this rainy season to plant more trees.
Speaking when she led the exercise in her constituency, the Lawmaker stated that this is the only way to ensure a better environment and society at large.
According to Kathambi, Environmental conservation is a collective responsibility and every Kenyan has a role.
She added that through such initiatives, then issues of climate change shall be addressed.
“We must unite to combat the impact of climate change and promote food security by planting more trees and conserving the environment especially during this rainy season,” stated Kathambi.
Meanwhile, the Legislator sent her condolences to the families that have lost their loved ones through the Mai Mahiu tragedy.
She urged Kenyans to take precautions and adhere to Government safety measures announced.
