Landslide-affected families in Kaptembwa, Nakuru West Sub county on Saturday May 11, 2024 received aid from area MP Samuel Arama and Governor Susan Kihika.
Over 200 households have been affected in the area with close to 1000 persons displaced.
The unified response to the recent landslide tragedy in Kaptembwa has revealed the good working relationship between Governor Kihika and MP Arama.
The families sought refuge at a local church, prompting urgent action from both leaders to provide essential support.
Arama assured the affected families of full government support.
“I want to thank Governor Kihika for the gesture of assisting our people. We shall work to find a lasting solution,” he said.
The affected families received items such as mattresses, blankets, and a variety of foodstuffs such as maize flour, rice, green grams, and porridge flour.
