MP Arama vows to work closely with new DCC Lesimam to enhance security

Nakuru Town West MP Samuel Arama has vowed to work closely with the new Nakuru West Deputy County Commissioner Michael Lesimam to enhance security in Nakuru West Sub County.

Speaking at Nakuru West secondary during a farewell party for outgoing Deputy County Commissioner Elmi Shaffie who was transferred to Londiani, Arama said collaboration is key in addressing challenges in society.

Arama said his office will continue to work closely with the new DCC to help make Nakuru West a better sub county.

“To the new DCC Lesimam, my office is open for consultations and matters on security so that we can have a better Nakuru West” he said as he welcomed him in Nakuru West.

The vocal Nakuru Legislator commending outgoing DCC Elmi Shaffie for the good working relation in Nakuru West.

Arama stated that matters of security should not be politicized especially when Kenya is headed towards 2022 succession politics.

“I want to thank our outgoing DCC Elmi for the good work he did here and we wish him well in his new station. We need to work hard as leaders and ensure politics is kept off from matters security” he said.

On his part Elmi while handing over to his predecessor, admitted that Nakuru West Sub county is a cosmopolitan hence the face of Kenya.

Elmi who is a resident of Nakuru West vowed to continue working with the new DCC revealing a possible comeback for a trial in politics for the Kapkures Ward seat.

“Nakuru West residents are good people to work with and that is why I say I might have completed my duty in Nakuru West but I will still come back because I have unfinished business in Kapkures” said Elmi.

The incoming Nakuru West DCC Michael Lesimam who until his transfer was DCC in Borabu, Nyamira County on his part stating that he has come for nothing but to serve.

Lesimam, whom Nakuru West becomes his 16th area to work as government administrator, says his first agenda will be to take some two months to learn Nakuru West before swinging into action.

“My way of doing things is that I take some time first to learn a place then start acting. As a matter of fact next week I have tasked chiefs to have all the security stakeholders in this area on one whatsapp group for easy coordination” said Lesimam.
