Muslim faithfuls and leaders in Nakuru on Friday March 20, 2026 gathered at Menengai High School grounds for Eid-Ul-Fitr prayers as they called for Allah’s mercy upon warring countries among them Iran.

Eid Ul-Fitr is an Islamic holiday marking the end of Ramadhan, the month when devout Muslims fast daily from dawn to sunset.
Ramadhan is a time for increased worship, charity and good deeds, and typically sees festive gatherings to break the fast.
Eid al-Fitr means the feast, or festival, of breaking the fast.

Addressing press after the prayers, Nakuru Muslim Association Chairperson Faez Ahmed Nasher prayed that the various wars in countries has seen Muslim brothers and sisters mark Ramadhan in very difficult circumstances.
He was however quick to point out that he is optimistic that Allah’s mercy will be upon such countries so that the conflicts can end and faithfuls in those countries go back to their normal life.
“We remember our brothers in middle-east who have gone through a difficult Ramadhan dur to the wars and other forms of conflicts. We hope the conflicts will come to an end and peace will prevail,” he stated.
Mr Faez Nasher used the moment to wish all Muslim faithfuls in Nakuru, Kenya and the World Eid Mubarak.
He urged them to remember the less forunate in society and also pray for the country ahead of the 2027 general polls.
Nakuru MCAs Fadhili Msuri(Biashara) and Hassan Duale(Nominated) also graced the prayers at Menengai High School grounds.
MCA Fadhili reiterated the importance of Eid-Ul-Fitr, and prayed that the wars in Middle-East will come to an end and peace prevail.
He at the same time maintained that as Muslim leaders in Nakuru, they will continue to rally their support to Governor Susan Kihika and her administration moving forward.
“We pray for our brothers in warring countries that peace will prevail. As Nakuru leaders, we shall continue to support government of the day,” stated MCA Fadhili.
On his part Nominated MCA Hassan Duale while wishing Muslims Eid Mubarak, he urged faithfuls to remember those in agony.
He called on religious leaders to continue praying for a peaceful united country towards general polls 2027.
The youthful MCA also used the moment to affirm his support for Governor Susan Kihika’s administration as well as President William Ruto’s government.
“This is a very special times in our calendar as Muslims even as we come to the end of Ramadhan. As Muslim leaders in Nakuru, we affirm our support to the current administration,” he said.
