Nakuru MP on a move to ensure all needy bright students are in school

Needy but bright students in Nakuru Town West Sub County have a reason to smile this is after the area MP Samuel Arama reiterated his commitment to ensuring that they get bursary through the National Government Constituency Development Fund-NGCDF.

Speaking during the issuance of bursary to a tune of 6 million shillings to all the needy but bright students joining Form one from Nakuru West Sub County, the legislator noted that financial constrains have led to many students opting out of school.

The legislator added that this will help address the disparity that has been experienced in the past where only the rich get the best schools.

He added that his office will continue to follow up on those joining Form one to ensure they continue with their studies without any hitch.

“We realized that many needy but bright students miss out in schools due to lack of school fees and that is why we have decided to give up to 6 million shillings bursary to all the students joining Form one from this sub county” he said.

Nakuru Town West is one of the densely populated sub counties in Nakuru County with majority of the families living in slum areas of Kaptembwo and Rhonda.
