As World marked Father’s Day on June 15, Nakuru East Ward MCA Anthony Kamau Kanyere alias Geru used the day to interact in a special way with street families within Nakuru CBD.
During the event, the MCA together with other well-wishers repatriated some back to their families.
According to the MCA, three boys among them came from Trans Nzoia county, one from Bungoma county , one back to Eldoret and one to Karatina Nyeri county.
MCA Kamau who is also the Deputy Speaker Nakuru County Assembly also facilitated their transport back.
The MCA reiterated the need for society to embrace street families and help ensuring smooth assimilation.
“As a society we have a role to ensure our streets are streetfamilies-free and those that we trace their relatives we can take them back,” he stated.
