Nakuru county puts records right on 2 COVID-19 cases

All the two patients who tested positive for COVID-19 in Nakuru county are in stable condition.

This is according to Nakuru County CEC member for health Dr.Gichuki Kariuki.

Through a statement to newsrooms,the CEC member also revealed that the are two other patients in Nakuru isolation unit whose results are pending.

The  Nakuru county health docket also noting that so far 125 persons ha e been placed under quarantine.

Of the 125, six tested negative and were released leaving 119 who are still under quarantine.

“We wish to inform the public that 2 patients who tested positive for COVID-19 are in stable condition.So far 125 people under quarantine of whom 6 tested negative and were released leaving 119 who are still under quarantine” said the CEC member.

Dr.Gichuki has also stated that the County Health Department in collaboration with the police have been conducting screening for passengers travelling into and through Nakuru.

According to the CEC member,so far 57,358 passengers have been screened.

The ongoing fumigation  exercise in streets of Nakuruw and Naivasha will also be extended to Molo and Gilgil.

The CEC reiterating the county government’s commitment through the surveillance team to monitor COVID-19 across the county.

He also called on residents of Nakuru to continue adhering to all preventive measures issued by the Ministry of health including staying at home,social distancing,washing of hands regularly and wearing a face mask while in public.
