Nakuru County Girls’ Basketball Team secured position 2 at Inter-county sports in Kilifi.
The team secured second place as the curtains came down at the 9th edition of the Kenya Youth Inter-County Sports Association (KYISA) games hosted by Kilifi County.
In an electrifying match at Barani Secondary School grounds, the gallant girls narrowly fell to Siaya County, with a final score of 41-48.
Nakuru County Executive Committee Member for sports Josephine Achieng lauded the team for showing prowess during the match.
According to the CECM, team comprised mostly 19 year old and has continued to show exemplary discipline, focus.
“We are very grateful for the team and for bringing pride to Nakuru County on the national stage,” she stated.
