MP Njoki vows to support talents despite sports kitty having been scraped from NG-CDF

Bahati Member of Parliament Irene Njoki has vowed to continue supporting talents in all the wards in her constituency.

This despite Government having done away with sports kitty under the NG-CDF.

The Lawmaker through representatives from her office on Monday April 8, 2024 presented sports equipment and attire to Kenya Military Academy under-20 football team in Lanet.

“This evening, I fulfilled my promise to the KMA under-20 football team. Despite the sports docket being removed from the Member of Parliament’s office, my commitment remains steadfast,” she said in a statement to Newsrooms.

Njoki said she is devoted to engaging with partners and stakeholders who are willing to invest in the talented young people of Bahati constituency.

This, she added that it will help generate monetary value and creating opportunities for youth.

“In my manifesto, I have extensively covered sports and youth empowerment programs, which reflects my commitment to nurturing growth and development within our constituency,” she said.

According to the first term serving MP in Parliament, she is currently focused on upgrading football pitches, as demonstrated by the ongoing work at Mikeu Primary School in Dunduri.

Through these initiatives, the Legislator  aims to equip youth with the necessary resources and support to flourish and achieve excellence in their endeavors.
