Bahati MP Irene Njoki has affirmed her commitment towards welfare of senior citizens.
Speaking on Monday during an event on the same, MP Njoki was categorical that senior citizens are key in society.
Under her Mrembo Care Program, MP Njoki vowed to continue advocating for the welfare of senior citizens in Bahati.
The Lawmaker has been on the forefront in advocating for the welfare of senior citizens in Bahati.
“This forum is a continuation of the 8-Point Agenda on Healthcare and Social Welfare, a pledge I made during campaigns to place the welfare of our elders at the heart of our constituency’s growth, and I have remained true to that commitment,” she stated.
According to the Lawmaker, through consistent action, this vision has borne fruit.
She added that she has been able to support over 500 Senior Citizens with SHA contributions and facilitated the enrolment of thousands more into the Inua Jamii Fund.
The Monday event was also attended by CS Geoffrey Kiringa RUKU , Governor Susan Kihika , Hon. Farah Marim, and Hon. David Gikaria.
