Njoro MP Charity Kathambi has sounded a stern warning to locals engaging in illicit brew business that their days are numbered.
The Legislator who spoke on Wednesday during an inter-community peace meeting held at Ndeffo, in KIhingo ward of Njoro sub county,she said such businesses are derailing the development agenda.
While noting that some locals have also failed to record statements with police to aid in the war against illicit brew,Kathambi was categorical that this time round the locals must work closely with the police.
She said this is the only way the illicit brew business will come to an end in Njoro Sub county.
“And for those engaging in illicit brew business in this constituency your days are numbered.We don’t have room for such in Njoro and it will not be business as usual in Njoro” said Kathambi.
The Legislator also vowing to follow-up on theft cases that have already been reported to police.
“Everyone who has reported a case to police forward me the OB number and I will follow up myself.We must start from somewhere” said Kathambi.
She appealed to the youths of Bondeni area not hide criminals amongst them.
The security officers who are also compromised by the criminals in Njoro have been put on notice.
According to the vocal Legislator,there has been complains of security team arresting suspects and later releasing them without being prosecuted.
