Wakili Boniface Githinji Ndumia’s Parliamentary seat bid has received a major boost after members of ‘Kamagera’ Welfare Association in Nakuru Town vowed total support.

They made the declaration during a meeting between Wakili Ndumia and the team in town.
It should be noted that Kamagera members play key roll of linkage between passengers and the matatu saccos in various matatu stages.
Addressing the team, Wakili Ndumia who once served in the matatu industry in Nakuru announced that he will be reintroducing the matatus to help employ a number of youth.

He assured them that having worked in the sector for some years, he understands better the industry and the challenges that they go through.
Ndumia assured them that he will work with their leadership towards amicable solutions.
“I worked in the matatu sector and I understand the challenges facing the stages within Town. We will strategize moving forward to see on how we can work together towards solutions that can make change,” he said.
He regreted that members of ‘Kamagera’ Welfare Association are operating with a lot of fear of being evicted or arrested.

This, he said will never be tolerated under his leadership as Lawmaker Nakuru Town East Constituency.
To ensure good economy even in the matatu sector, Wakili Ndumia pointed out that there is need for electorates to make right decision and elect leaders wisely.
He noted that transport sector contributes almost 30 percent of GDP, but the sector’s stakeholders have continued to suffer at the watch of leaders.
Wakili Ndumia vowed to ensure empowerment of the members of Kamagera Welfare Association.
Addressing during the meeting, he urged them to work towards registration of groups so that they can be empowered through the same.
Ndumia also used the moment to call on them to ensure every Sacco they work for has their own matatu.
This, he said will help them have their voice heard.
