Correspondents of Mediamax Networks Limited have vowed to down their tools nationwide over unsettled two-year dues.
Mediamax Networks Limited is home to Kameme TV and Radio, K24 TV, Milele FM and People Daily Newspaper.
The correspondents say the Company has failed to pay them their dues which have accumulated for two years.
“We, the correspondents of Mediamax Networks Limited, have resolved to down our tools until the company settles our two-year dues,” they said.
In a protest notice, they revealed that for the past two years, many have endured immense hardship, some battling depression, others facing family breakdowns, with children out of school and debts piling up.
While noting that the situation is no longer sustainable, they have issued a protest notice on Friday.
“On Friday, March 20, 2026, we will stage a peaceful but resolute protest outside the company premises to demand what is rightfully ours. Make arrangements with police and equip them well as we expect to turn up in large numbers, united in our call for justice,” they said.
The correspondents have urged the management to act with urgency.
They stated that they need their pay adding that there there is no alternative.
They also want Ken Ngaruiya, the CEO to step down.
In the notice, they have also called for accountability in leadership.
They argue that the continued neglect of correspondents has deeply hurt a once respected media house associated with the family of former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
“We believe in Mediamax, but things cannot continue as they are. Friday will mark a turning point,” they stated.
