Matatu operators in Nakuru town have called on Governor Lee Kinyanjui to avert side shows and improve the standards of the new matatu stages.
Speaking just two days after their protests brought Nakuru town to standstill, the operators say the county has continued to ignore the poor state of the new stages.
They say they will be comfortable if the County Government improve the standards of the new terminus.
“We want nothing more than the Governor to improve the new stages” said the operators.
Led by Stanley Kimunge and Peter Wambugu, the operators in Nakuru also aired their woes saying that Sacco bosses have exposed them to adverse poverty.
Speaking at Nakuru Municipal Mortuary grounds(Kwa Jack) terminus, the drivers sat that they are languishing in poverty hence the county should sort the the issue.
This even as the town service Saccos have maintained that the ongoing matatu strike is still on until the County government in particular Governor Lee Kinyanjui calls for round table meeting with them and address their woes.
