Law society of Kenya has blasted the ministry of Health for developing guidelines on use of mask and subsequent arrests and penalties without substantive legal framework.
Speaking in Nakuru town, LSK member Benard Kipkoech Ngetich has said that the council will head to court on Tuesday to seek quashing of the gazette notice.
“The minister in charge cant make laws that tend to effect arrests of the people, laws are only developed by parliament and as such he should have waited for the legislation”, he said.
Ngetich further said that the masks most of the Kenyans are using are not standardised and as such may expose them to serious harm.
