Leaders urged to stop chest-thumbing over BBI

Leaders should stop chest thumbing over the Building Bridges Initiative report.

Former Makadara MP Reuben Ndolo and politician Stanley Livondo say the document should unite all Kenyans.

They also add that there is need for Kenyans to carefully interrogate the Building Bridges Initiative report and make an informed decision.

Ndolo says the final BBI report should be for the benefit of Kenyans even in the generation to come.

“We are saying let Kenyans read the BBI report so that they can make informed decision. The final report should take care of future generations” said Ndolo.

Politician and businessman Stanely Livondo on his part calling for consensus.

He says the narrative of hustler versus dynasties should not be introduced on matters BBI saying BBI is not for individuals but uniting Kenyans.

“This sideshows and narrative of hustler have no space here when it comes to matters BBI.The report is for uniting all Kenyans” said Livondo.

The duo was speaking in Nakuru during a church service and fundraiser at Metro Church towards vulnerable children.

They said that reports proposals will unite Kenyans and called for a sober debate over it.

Ndolo noted that the BBI debate should be devoid of class or political divisions for the sake of Kenyans unity.

The two leaders added that the incoming constitutional reforms should be intensive and factor in all divergent voices to avoid a scenario where the country will be reviewing it’s laws after every five years.
