Lakeview Ward MCA Hon. Peter Karanja Mburu has lost his life this morning.
The first time MCA from Naivasha was driving to Nakuru this morning when his car lost control, veered off the road and rammed into a tree before rolling several times. He died in the spot.

The outspoken MCA was a great critic of the Nakuru Executive and a strong supporter to the Deputy President, Dr. William Ruto.
“Peter Karanja Mburu was a humble, devoted and distinguished politician who selflessly served the people of Lakeview Ward in Nakuru County,” the Deputy President eulogised the late MCA.
The passing on of Hon. Karanja Mburu has left Nakuru County residents in shock and they’ve been sending their condolences on social media.
In her condolences message, Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika described the late MCA as a hardworking and principled leader with a steadfast stand.
“He was a hardworking and principled leader who was never afraid to stand his ground. I celebrate his courage, convictions and bravery. He has gone too soon before we could see his full potential,” Senator Kihika wrote.
“My deepest condolences to his family, friends, Lake View ward residents, his colleagues at the Nakuru County Assembly, the people of Nakuru County and Kenya,” added the Senator.
Karanja Mburu has in the recent past been in the frontline to curb the spread on Covid-19. Recently, he led in the distribution of face masks in his ward and earlier on, he had carried out a fumigation campaign in Naivasha town. He was also a member of the ad hoc committee that was to lead in dealing with Covid-19 representing Naivasha Sub-County.
In July last year, the late MCA had again been involved in another accident in Gilgil. He was on his way from Nakuru going back to his ward when his car collided with a bus headed to Kisumu. Ha had escaped unscathed saying the safety belt saved his life.
