Deputy President Prof Kithure Kindiki has lauded the key role played by Micro and Small Enterprises (MSE) hold the key to Kenya’s economic transformation from the bottom upwards.
He pointed out that to revitalize MSEs, the Government is implementing several programs.
Among these is the National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA) and the Kenya Jobs for Economic Transformation (KJET).
“Support for MSEs remains a priority to ensure their expansion and sustainability assurance,” he stated.
The DP was speaking when he joined other leaders to support MSEs in Nyaribari Chache Constituency, Kisii County through their Savings and Credit Cooperatives(SACCOs) to supplement the other support initiatives being implemented through various Government ministries, departments and agencies.
The event was also attended Senate Majority Leader Aaron Cheruiyot, National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichungwa and President William Ruto’s Personal Aide Mr Farouk Kibet among others.
