Residents of Murichu and Legitio in Vision Ward, Rongai Sub county have a reason to smile following the drilling of Murichu and Legitio Water Projects.
The project is being implemented by the County Government of Nakuru under the leadership of Governor Susan Kihika.
Upon completion, the projects will see over 800 households, Murichu Market traders and other public utilities in Visoi Ward benefit.
This is a milestone for the residents who have for many years lacked clean and safe water for drinking and domestic work.
According to Governor Kihika, this is in line with her promise that she made to the people of Rongai Sub county concerning the challenge of perennial water shortage.
It should be noted that Rongai Sub county is one of the Sub counties that has had challenges of Water services.
However, Governor Kihika’s administration is working to address the issue with permanent solution that will see locals enjoy services.
“Towards fulfilling yet another promise.
With the ongoing drilling of the Murichu and Legetio Water Projects, over 800 households, Murichu market traders, schools and other public utilities in Visoi Ward, Rongai Sub-county, will have access to clean and safe drinking,” stated Kihika.
