Kihika cites Nakuru as best suited venue for future WRC Safari Rally events

Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika has expressed confidence in Nakuru County as a welcoming destination for future WRC Safari Rally events.

In a statement to Newsrooms on Sunday March 31, 2024 upon completion of this year’s WRC Safari Rally in Naivasha, Kihika was categorical that Nakuru has all that it takes.

“Nakuru remains a welcoming destination, offering a blend of natural beauty and thrilling experiences for all. Thank you once again, and until next time, karibuni Nakuru!,” she stated.

Kihika also extended her heartfelt gratitude to all Kenyans and international visitors who graced this event with their presence, adding to the thrill and excitement that filled the air.

She pointed out that their enthusiasm and support made the rally a resounding success, and that she eagerly anticipate welcoming them back to Nakuru for future editions.

Kihika also lauded President William Ruto for his unwavering support towards this event.

“President’s commitment to supporting Kenya to host this event has been instrumental in making this event a reality and placing Nakuru on the global map. With such support, we are confident that the Safari Rally will continue to grow in stature and attract even more participants and spectators in the years to come,” she said.

The event was also graced by Cabinet Secretary Sports Ababu Namwamba; Area MP Jayne Kihara; PSs, and a host of Members of the County Assembly of Nakuru.
