Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika has called on Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission-EACC and National Cohesion and Integration Commission-NCIC to investigate a section of political leaders propagating hate and tribalism.
Speaking at Nyayo Gardens on Tuesday January 16, 2024 during the launch of county bursary worth Sh 342 million, Kihika stated that times for divisive politics are over.
She added that Nakuru county residents will not buy such valueless politics.
Kihika maintained her stand that she will not be shaken by such petty politics.
According to Kihika, such politicians are about to derail her development agenda.
“We have no room for divisive politics in Nakuru county. I call on EACC to investigate some of these politicians who want to derail development agenda through such politics,” she said.
Sentiments echoed by Bahati MP Irene Njoki who slammed individuals who have been propagating propaganda concerning development projects initiated by Governor Susan Kihika in various parts of the county.
On his part Nakuru Town West MP Samuel Arama was categorical that Governor Kihika’s clean development record is what is making some individuals uncomfortable.
Arama vowed to rally his support behind Governor Kihika’s transformation agenda for the county and ensure residents continue to enjoy services.
“If Governor Kihika is performing let us give credit and support her. I personally will continue to support such agenda,” he said.
