Kihika calls on Contractor working on Kiptangwanyi Ultra-modern Market to ensure quality work

Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika has called on contractor working on ultra-modern Kiptangwanyi Market to ensure quality work.

Kihika spoke on Tuesday October 14, 2025 when she inspected the ongoing construction of the facility at Kiptangwanyi Centre, Elementaita Ward in Gilgil.

According to Kihika, the project, a partnership between the County Government of Nakuru and the National Government, is currently 30% complete.

The market will feature 204 trading stalls, a cold room, a lactation centre, an ICT hub, a social hall, modern sanitation facilities, and spacious walkways.

“This will provide traders with a clean, safe, and conducive business environment while reducing post-harvest losses. I urge the contractor to speed up completion while maintaining high-quality standards.

She added that the project reaffirms her administration’s commitment to providing modern and accessible marketplaces for traders across Nakuru County.
