Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika has announced waiver on licenses for beneficiaries of NYOTA programme.
Speaking on Friday January 9, 2026 when she hosted President William Ruto for the launch of phase 2 of the programme in Nakuru, Governor Kihika made it clear that her administration will ensure waiver for beneficiaries.
This, she noted will go a long way un ensuring that they kickstart their businesses.
She added that it also communicates her desire to see youth venture into businnesses for economic empowerment.
“I want to announce here today that to our youth who are now beneficiaries of this Programme, my administration will also help by ensuring waiver on licenses for those who will be starting businesses,” she said amidst applause from beneficiaries.
Governor Kihika also used the moment to announce that her administration will give priority to the NYOTA Programme beneficiaries during allocation of stalls at the new Market in Ziwani-Bondeni.
The move by Kihika aims to unlock opportunities, supporting businesses, and build a stronger, self-reliant generation.
