Kembu Cottages is a beautiful self-catering home in the outskirts of Nakuru town as you head to Njoro in a serene environment with a breath of fresh air.
Kembu cottages has 6 fully equipped cottages, a treehouse, a carriage room and camping facilities each with a private garden. Beryl cottage, Cedar cottage, Albizia cottage, Mutati cottage and Kenana cottage have 2-bedrooms i.e. 1 double room and a twin room, then Acacia cottage is one bedroom with an annexe brew point. The Cobbs Carriage is a hardwood rail caravan converted into a room with all the basic amenities like electricity, bathroom and loo.
Guests can prepare their own meals in the cottages and enjoy a few drinks at the wooden bar. Also for entertainment, there is a pool table and table tennis to while away time.
The word Kembu is derived from the word Kimbu which is Kikuyu for chameleon. According to their website, the chameleons which they refer to as little cute dragons are to be found camouflaging on the farm where the campsite is situated.
