Jackson Karanja seeks to be elected as PRSK Council Member

Senior Journalist and Public Relations Officer Mr Jackson Karanja is seeking to be elected as Public Relations Society of Kenya(PRSK) member is fourth coming elections.

The elections are scheduled for October 9, 2025 and all members of PRSK are eligible to vote.

Karanja who has served as Media Council of Kenya Coordinator in Nakuru and some parts of Central Region, has interest in matters public relations and has always shown passion for the same.

He believes he is fit to become PRSK Council Member, a position he says will enable him elevate standards and empower communicators.

Karanja believes in Innovation, Integrity and Elevation.

“I believe PRSK must lead with Innovation, uphold Integrity, and Elevate our practice to global standards. Join me on this journey. That’s my commitment to you as I seek your vote for PRSK Council Member. Vote Karanja Jackson for PRSK Council Member,” he stated.

When elected, Karanja has vowed to
champion PRSK’s role in shaping and implementing the PR and Communications Bill.

He says he will also advocate for legal recognition and protection of PR practitioners, align PRSK programs with national policy to strengthen the profession.

On matters Innovation, he has vowed to
drive digital transformation in PR practice (AI, data analytics, digital storytelling), Build stronger partnerships with academia, government & industry for cutting-edge communication research.

He will also empower members with capacity building on emerging trends and sustainability communication.

On matters Integrity, he will uphold PRSK’s Code of Conduct and strengthen accountability in practice as well as promote accreditation and continuous professional development to enhance credibility.

His manifesto also comprises aspect of encouraging responsible communication that builds public trust and Elevation of PR Practice.

The Senior Communicator is also promising to position PR professionals as strategic advisors in governance, business & community development, Expand PRSK’s visibility nationally & internationally and
support mentorship and talent growth for the next generation of PR leaders.

The Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK) was established in 1971 when the founders of the Society felt the need to establish the professional body to guide and bring together PR practitioners in Kenya.

PRSK was formed by a constitution and is a registered Society.

The Society’s broad objective is to advance excellence in Public Relations and Communication Management in Kenya and to ensure that the practice continues to thrive within the ethical framework defined by the profession.
