I’ve no problem with Jubilee Party changes – Senator Kihika

The outspoken Nakuru County Senator Susan Kihika has today revealed she has no problem with the changes made at the Jubilee Party.

The Nakuru senator was referring to her Senate Chief whip position being taken away by Jubilee and given to Murang’a Senator Irungu Kang’ata.

“My main mandate is to serve the people of Nakuru as their senator. The rest of the positions are side hustles but the most important thing is to serve the people of Nakuru,” said the Senator.

Susan Kihika was speaking in Lanet when she toured the ward with Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri. The two leaders donated masks and sanitizers to residents of Lanet Umoja in an effort to curb the Covid-19 pandemic.

“If by taking the positions and handing over the positions to otber leaders will help the Jubilee Party deliver on its campaign promises and manifesto, we are more than happy to support the party,” added the Senator.

The legislator however still holds that the whole process of de-whiping the perceived rebels in the Senate was unlawfully done.

“Initially, we were unhappy because the law was not followed in the whole process. However, we have since moved on,” she revealed.

Addressing the media and residents at the same meeting, Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri has revealed that Nakuru County legislators will hold a meeting on Monday to address common issues facing the residents.

“We are United from the Senator, Woman rep and the rest of the Nakuru MPs. This coming Monday, we shall hold a meeting where we shall let the residents know of our stand and the way forward,” said Kimani who also doubles up as the chairman of Nakuru County MPs.kihika
