In the spirit of bolstering health, county government flags off consignment of essential drugs

The county government of Nakuru has reiterated commitment towards better healthcare for residents.

Under the leadership of Governor Susan Kihika, Nakuru Deputy Governor David Kones says the county can only prosper when the workforce and residents are healthy.

Kones spoke on Tuesday March 12, 2024 when he flagged off a consignment of essential drugs.

The consignment of essential drugs valued at KES 26,842,973 is aimed at bolstering the health and well-being of residents across Nakuru county.

The drugs will be distributed to all primary healthcare facilities within the county, ensuring that even the most remote areas are not left behind in quest for a healthier Nakuru.

“In line with our commitment to equitable healthcare, and with health being a fundamental right, it is my administration’s top priority to guarantee that every resident has access to necessary medical resources,” stated Kihika.

It will be recalled that Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika vowed to ensure a better healthcare system that will guarantee a health county.

In the sector, she has made several steps towards the same since she took over the leadership mantle.

For instance, issues of Community Health promoters, human resource management and facility welfare.

Currently, the Governor has been going around all facilities to understand what is ailing them so that a solution can be reached.
