I have never neglected Kuresoi, says Mututho

Nakuru Gubernatorial aspirant and former Nacada Boss John Mututho has refuted claims raised by his former running mate Maureen Chebet that he (Mututho) had neglected Kuresoi voters.

Addressing media in Nakuru on Sunday moments after Chebet announced officially that she had decamped to incumbent Governor Kinuthia Mbugua, the former Nacada Boss termed the move ‘laughable’.

“I would like to laugh but I realize am before the media…..I have empowered her and now she claims she has 3 million shillings from Kinuthia Mbugua…..she has been bought just like any other Man U player. So its not a question of decamping but she should be thanking me” said Mututho.

Despite Maureen claiming that Mututho had neglected Kuresoi and that he even made statements that he could win the seat without necessarily the Kuresoi votes, the former Nacada Boss rubbished that terming it mere propaganda that cannot hold water.

He added that Maureen as thing stand, had only one vote and she even had no political following in Kuresoi since formerly she was a voter in Sotik.
“Kuresoi has its people and she is not one of them so let her not talk about Kuresoi votes. She has no following apart from her whatsapp group” said Mututho.

Maureen Chebet who had been unveiled as Mututho’s running mate but has now decamped to incumbent Kinuthia Mbugua on Sunday while addressing media stated that she is no longer in team Mututho but will support Mbugua.

Mututho however has maintained that his team is focused on Empowerment and social transformation hence integrity and straight forward people will make it in his team.
