How Nakuru Firefighters swiftly responded to Barnabas dawn fire incident

The Nakuru County Firefighting team, drawn from Nakuru City, Molo, and Naivasha Municipalities has been lauded for their swiftly response to a massive fire outbreak in Barnabas, Nakuru East in the dawn hours of Saturday.

According to sources, the inferno was triggered when a fuel tanker exploded, setting off a chain reaction that ignited two other tankers and a lorry carrying timber.

Chief Officer for Disaster and Humanitarian Assistance, Kennedy Mugo, visited the scene and commended the firefighting teams for their quick and coordinated response, which helped contain the blaze and prevent further damage.

He reaffirmed that the County Govenment remains committed to staying prepared for emergencies and enhancing disaster response capacity.

The CO also wished speedy recovery to those who may sustained injuries and urged continued public vigilance around flammable materials.
