Former Kenya Civil Servants Union Secretary General Dr.Isaac Kinity has been lauded for his efforts that saw a Kenyan family reunited with daughter who had gone for greener pasture in Saudi Arabia before things turned sour.
Gladys Monareri is said to have travelled in Saudi Arabia to seek for greener pasture so that she can assist her siblings and parents.
According to the father Wilson Kigonge, his daughter went to school in Subukia and after High school she decided to seek job in Saudi Arabia through connection from a friend in 2020.
Little did they know that she was pregnant even before travelling to Saudi Arabia.
Speaking to press, the father stated that three months after travelling to Saudi, it was confirmed that she was pregnant.
Though the employer had no issue with the same, 6 months of her pregnancy she fell critically ill.
A move that saw her taken to hospital in Saudi and after sometimes, she went off communication.
Her parents tried to make calls here and there but in vain, so was the attempt to inquire from the Ministry of foreign affairs in Kenya as well as Saudi Embassy in Kenya.
The father reveals that it is during this time that Dr. Kinity heard about the same and started his interventions through American Embassy and Saudi Embassy.
“Dr. Kinity came to our aid and my daughter was found together with the newborn,” stated the father.
He added that Dr. Kinity facilitated the daughter’s travel back to Kenya and they were united at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi in 2021.
She also underwent some medication in Kenya which were catered for fully by Dr. Kinity.
The father noted that many of Kenyan children are suffering in Saudi and time is now that the government should step in.
“Our embassies should act and save our children,” he stated.
Sentiments echoed by the mother Moraa Kigonge and Social Worker Susan Mwangi who has been assisting several youth to acquire national Identity cards.
They lauded Dr. Kinity for the support towards safety of Kenyans.
Dr. Kinity who has continued to advocate for a corrupt free Kenya, argues that corruption and lack of employment has continued to derail the nation.
A great critic of President William Ruto, Kinity points out that lack of employment is what has led to many Kenyans to seek jobs abroad in Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries leading to their suffering.
He adds that Kenyans should wake up from slumber, put in place drastic measures that will see an upright person elected in the top seat of Presidency.
“Kenyans have to be serious about their future and the future of their children.
There have to be strict measures similar to those of China if Kenya has to get rid of the rampant corruption. China has progressed because of its strong measures against corruption,” stated Kinity.
According to him, there is no justification at all for Kenyans to continue to suffer because of the incompetent corrupt leaders.
He argues that since the independence in 1963, Kenyans have continued to suffer without rest until this day out of the actions of their leaders.
“Imagine that today Kenya is losing Kshs 3 billion to corruption every day an equivalence of Kshs.1.098 trillion every year. This has led to many Kenyan youths to leave Kenya in search of green pastures and unfortunately some of them are killed where they go.The looting of public funds is what deprives youth of employment and livelihood, yet when they peacefully come out to inform the government about their plight after suffering due to lack of employment, lack of food and lack of their basic needs, the government kills them and abducts others never to be seen again,” said Kinity.
The former Unionist who now serves in Advisory board of USA President Donald Trump, says it is time Kenyans try hard to identify a president who will save them, Otherwise, the future remains doomed with the current crop of leaders.
