Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika has this afternoon flagged off 11 trucks of relief food to various parts of Nakuru County. The relief food consisted of 4,400 bags of rice and 1,760 bags of dry beans received from the National Government following intense lobbying by the Governor. The food is meant to mitigate the effects of hunger experienced due to the prolonged drought that has been going on for some time now. The foodstuffs will be distributed to every part of the County. The Nakuru County Commissioner, Gilbert Kitiyo was also at the flagging off.
