Governor Kihika, Sir Sam Mburu launch youth empowerment program in Nakuru West

Governor Susan Kihika and First Gentleman Sir Sam Mburu have launched a program that aims to empower young people in Nakuru Town West Constituency.

During the launch of the meeting, Governor Kihika was also accompanied by area MP Samwel Arama, Nakuru Town East MP David Gikaria, Bahati MP Irene Njoki and several MCAs.

The leaders engaged with residents of Nakuru Town West during the youth empowerment program aimed at uplifting livelihoods within the Sub-county.

Kihika pointed out that this is part of ongoing efforts to create employment opportunities.

During the event, the leaders distributed car wash machines that will go a long way in promoting self-employment and entrepreneurship.

Kihika also used the moment to highlight some of the significant strides made by President William Ruto in advancing development across the country.

These include job creation through the Affordable Housing Programme, the construction of modern markets, and the planned dualling of the Rironi–Mau Summit Highway.

“The President’s development track record speaks for itself, and I call on residents to continue supporting his transformative agenda,” stated Kihika.

She reaffirmed her commitment to intensifying efforts toward enhancing urban development programs across Nakuru County.

Speaking during the event, Sir Mburu revealed that prior to the program they had a meeting with MP Arama who requested for the empowerment of youth.

He added that the program shall be extended to other sub counties in Nakuru.

“We had a meeting with your MP over this. I can assure you that the empowerment program shall be rolled out in all the other Sub counties because Governor is mother to all,” stated Mburu.

The soft-spoken but composed Mburu also used the opportunity to drum support for President William Ruto second term, Governor Kihika’s second term, Gikaria’s Senatorial bid, MP Arama’s fourth term and MP Njoki’s second term.

According to Mburu, leaders who deliver should be given another chance to complete the projects started.

MP Arama on his part lauded Governor Kihika and Sir Sam Mburu for their gesture that will see several young people empowered economically.
