Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika has vowed not to relent in the fight to place Nakuru War Memorial Hospital under the County Management.
She told off those opposed to the move, adding that she will not sit and watch as interests of the people of Nakuru are held hostage by a few individuals.
The Governor was speaking when she joined former Kuresoi North MP Moses Cheboi during the official opening of the Ogiek African Inland Church in Karandit,Tinet Ward in Kuresoi South Sub county.
All leaders who attended the event reiterated their support to Governor Kihika’s agenda of transforming Nakuru county.
“Received overwhelming support in my fight to place Nakuru War Memorial Hospital under the County management and vowed not to relent,” stated Kihika.
The sermon was delivered by AIC Presiding Bishop, Rev Abraham Mulwa, that one should trust and always seek to invest in things which have an everlasting perspective.
Governor, Kihika used the opportunity to assure the church of her administration’s support.
She revealed that a fully equipped ECDE centre shall be established at the Ogiek Primary School.
“In addition to support towards the Ogiek AIC Church, I will factor construction and equipping of an ECDE Centres at the Ogiek Primary, next door to the AIC Church in the next Financial Year. Further, I’ll actively take part in the construction of a health centre at the church,” she stated.
