Bahati Businessman Dedan Mwenda Gikwa has challenged the leadership of the day to ensure that resources collected from various sectors in Bahati are used to improve the lives of Bahati resident s as well as Nakuru County At Large.

Speaking during an interview, Gikwa who has shown an interest in the Bahati Parliamentary seat said a time has come for the resources collected in the area to benefit the people of Bahati and Nakuru at large.

Noting that Bahati as a constituency has a lot of resources from the quarries and GDC company, the Businessman challenged the current leadership for not ensuring that the resources are used to improve the welfare of the people.

“Bahati has a lot of resources and it is upon the leadership to ensure the locals also benefit.GDC is doing good since it has employed our people but the resources that we get from these investments should also be monitored so that it does not end in the pockets of some individuals” he said.

Gikwa maintained that he will battle it out come August for the Bahati Parliamentary seat which is currently under the leadership of Hon.Onesmus Kimani Ngunjiri.
