The County Government of Nakuru has distributed foodstuff, masks and sanitizers to 120 people under quarantine at a residential area in Bangladesh, Nakuru Town West sub-County.
The 120 persons were placed under quarantine after a tenant tested positive of COVID-19 Coronavirus .
The patient is currently being monitored at the PGH COVID-19 Isolation and Management facility.
According to County official Sammy Kung’u, the families will be supported for two weeks they will be in quarantine.
“The county will support the families for the two weeks they will be in quarantine” he said.
They will be tested after the 14 days and the County Government of Nakuru will take care of the cost.
The tenants thanked the County Government of Nakuru for the donations and agreed to stay within the residential area.
The caretaker said the tenants agreed that they should all observe public health measures such as social distancing, wearing of masks and not leaving the block for the two weeks.
