The Muslim community in Nakuru will continue to support government initiatives aimed at promoting peace and stability.

Nakuru Muslim Association Chairperson Faez Ahmed Nasher says collaboration is key.
He was speaking during a training that brought together Imams from all the 11 Subcounties of Nakuru.
“As Muslim leaders, ours is to collaborate with Government in promoting peace. When religious leaders work with government then we have stability,” he said.
The four-day training programme for 60 imams aimed at strengthening moderation and countering radicalisation across the county.

The seminar, organized by the Religious Attaché Office of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has drawn imams from all 11 subcounties for capacity-building on contemporary religious leadership.
The meeting was attended by County Executive Committee Member for Trade Stephen Kuria, who represented Governor Susan Kihika during the official opening.
The CECM noted that the initiative will equip imams with practical tools to foster cohesion, guide congregations and promote peaceful coexistence.
The event was also attended by Nakuru County Commissioner Loyford Kibaara, Chief Officer for Sports Francis Njoroge, Biashara Ward MCA Fadhili Msuri among others.
