Mudavadi lauds KNCCi on efforts towards economy recovery

Amani National Congress Party  Leader Musalia Mudavadi has called on the Kenya National Chamber of commerce to offer strategic interventions towards economic recovery.

Speaking on Wednesday when he  was  paid a courtesy call by the President Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) Mr Richard Ngatia and his team, Mudavadi lauded the role played by  KNCCI.

They discussed on critical role the Chamber plays in policy formulation in the country particularly on Small Micro and Medium Enterprises ( SMMEs).a

He asked the Chamber to continue being proactive post COVID-19 in Economic Recovery Programmes especially in offering strategic interventions.

“I must laud the Chamber’s current efforts in engaging with various financial institutions and donor agencies in availing financial support to businesses during this difficult period, at low interest rates” he said.

Mudavadi however raised concern on Kenya’s public debt taking a toll on  businesses.

He said this is an area that needs to be addressed by goverment of the day.
The Chamber President was accompanied by Mr Kihara Njuguna( Chamber’s Legal Secretary), Mr Sam Omukoko( Chairman of the Banking Committee) and Mr John Shimaka( Board Director).
