The county government of Nakuru on Wednesday dispatched the first lot of face masks that were produced by County Polytecnics to all 55 wards.
The vocational training centers have been supported by the County Government to produce 55,000 face masks per week.
Each of the 55 wards will receive at least 1,000 face masks to be distributed for free every week.
“Each ward shall be getting 1000 masks weekly to be distributed freely” said Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui.
Speaking during the function,Kinyanjui affirmed that, his administration is working with County Assembly on a COVID-19 post recovery strategy to help county residents earn a living.
The function was also attended by Deputy Governor Dr. Erick Korir, Education and Vocational Training CECM Joseph Kiuna and MCAs who are members of the County Assembly Disaster Committe.
