Kenya as a Nation should borrow a leaf from USA on how to end corruption that has continued to derail development.
Former Secretary General of the Kenya Civil Servants Union Dr. Isaac Newton Kinity is agitated over what he terms is the continued looting of public resources with no action against those behind the same.
Dr. Kinity- a Counselor and Human Rights Activist says when public funds are lost through corruption, then development agenda cannot be realized.
The current Chairman of the Kikimo Foundation for Corruption and Poverty Eradication, argues that Kenya is rich in resources that can transform every corner of the country.
He is however quick to point out corruption as the main challenge that should be dealt with.
“I feel very agitated every day whenever I remember that over Kshs. 2 billion is lost to corruption in Kenya every day. This is almost Kshs one trilllion that is lost to corruption every year with 366 days. It hurts me more when I see the Kenyan youth suffering without jobs and the Kenyan workers suffering from meager salaries because of the heinous greed of the Kenyan leaders who are looting all the money that would be used to create jobs for the unemployed youth and to improve the meager salaries paid to the Kenyan workers who include the KDF,” he stated.
He added that Kenyans should wake up from slumber and realize how much one trillion Kenya shillings mean to the nation and to them.
According Dr. Kinity, every period of five years, a lot of money is lost to corruption.
“With an estimate loss of Kshs 1 trillion every year, in one term of five years Kenya losses about Kshs. 5 trillion to corruption. Imagine losing all that money to a few corrupt Kenyan individuals?. Imagine also that most of the money lost to corruption is the loans given to Kenya, which Kenyans are forced to pay back,” he stated.
He added that to add salt on wound, the case of Ndabibi land in Naivasha belonging to the elderly men and women of over 90 years and justice has never been served.
The former Unionist has threatened to take further legal step in the matter and explain the entire episode to President Donald Trump.
He is optimistic that President Trump will extend his kindness and his mercy to those elderly men and women who have already been forced to vacate their homes and have been taken to court and charges for trespassing their own land in which they had lived since birth.
According to Kinity, Kenya should borrow a leaf from USA President Donald Trump whom despite leading the wealthiest nation in the world, minds about the welfare of the American citizens, by cutting aid and restricting illegal entry into the USA.
Dr. Kinity also used the moment to thank President Trump for not only minding about the welfare of the Americans in his mission to make America great again, but also for inviting him for his inauguration ceremony and renewing his appointment as a member of the Presidential Advisory Board.

The former Unionist also thanked President Trump for scrapping aid to several nations, including Kenya, where more than Kshs. 2 billion is lost to corruption every day.
Dr. Kinity noted that former President Uhuru Kenyatta once admitted—perhaps accidentally—that Kenya loses Sh2 billion every day to corruption.
According to Kinity, he said it as if reporting the weather, and he fault him for that.
“He did nothing meaningful to stop it, and this amount, if anything, has likely doubled or tripled currently.l,” he said.
On USA border security, Dr. Kinity was categorical that everyone should understand that every nation in this world nation has well laid measures to guard its borders, and the USA is not exceptional.
According to him, No nation in the world keeps its borders open for entry by anyone willing to enter.
The USA he noted , where every single community in the struggles to immigrate to should even be stricter than all other nations in the world, and that is the reason President Donald Trump is concerned about the US borders.
“Nevertheless, President Donald Trump should be thanked and applauded by the entire world because despite putting strict measures at the US borders, the USA remains the only nation in the world which has annual green card lottery program in over 176 countries in the world. Thousands of people from 176 countries immigrate to the USA every year through the green card lottery program,” he said.
He stated that those Americans who demonstrate against President Donald Trump are ignorant about what happens to the loans and the aid given to Kenya.
According to Kinity, had they known what is happening to the money, they would not attempt any demonstration at all.
“Every wise leader should be vigilant about his/her nations resources and his/her nation’s borders,” he stated.
