Simon Sangale Ole Nasieku has become a household name in Nakuru County.
He is a man who has mastered the art of political mobilization.
Nasieku- a staunch Christian, is a man knows how to make good use of opportunities that come his way.
His long time service in the business sector and moreso in Small and medium enterprises earned him a name, perhaps the reason many in Nakuru refer to him as ‘Chairman’.
When Democracy for the Citizens Party(DCP) was formed, Nasieku is among few leaders whom DCP Leaders Rigathi Gachagua appointed to serve as officials.
Nasieku’s vocality on numerous issues touching on common Mwananchi saw him appointed Secretary General DCP Nakuru County.
Political pundits argue that the DCP leader saw the potential in Nasieku and that is why he appointed him.
Since then, he has continued to strengthen the party in Nakuru mobilizing for more membership, defending the party leader at all cost.
Together with other leaders, they have been able to hold several meetings among them the Aspirants’ meeting in various subcounties.
Nasieku believes that DCP is a party to watch towards 2027 general polls.
The vocal Nasieku has also good rapport with journalists in Nakuru, and on many occasions they always call him to get a comment or two on various matters.
Three weeks ago, Nasieku addressed press and told off a section of individuals who are out to mess the party.
He claimed a section of individuals are planning to ouster him.
Nasieku who comes from Maa Community, lauded Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua for entrusting leadership in him as SG for the new political formation.
He challenged some of the individuals from Mount Kenya Region who are causing wrangles within the party to desist from such as it weakens the Party that is currently putting roots in Nakuru.
According to the vocal Nasieku, his way of doing things and ensuring that there will be credible party elections does not sink well with some people within the party.
“The Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua entrusted me with the leadership as SG even though I’m a Maasai. But some individuals are out to ouster me because I stand for truth. Let aspirants know that there is no direct ticket but the people will decide. Those going against the party guidelines and lying to aspirants that they can have direct tickets should desist,” he stated.
