Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) Leader Rigathi Gachagua will jet back to Kenya from USA on August 21, 2025.
A press release by Deputy Party Leader Cleophas Malala indicates the same.
In the release, Malala added that DCP leader returns to Kenya to lead a Movement for
National Revival.
Malala termed the recent official tour of Gachagua to USA a highly successful one.
“It is with pride that we announce the return of our Party Leader, H.E. Rigathi
Gachagua, following a highly successful official tour of the United States. I am
pleased to announce to the Country that his plane will land at JKIA on Thursday,
21 August, 2025, at exactly 12:00 Noon,” he stated.
According to the DCP official, during his highly successful U.S. visit, H.E. Rigathi Gachagua met Kenyans in Seattle, Boston, Dallas, Kansas City, and Baltimore, launching DCP Satellite Offices in key states including Texas, and Washington . He rallied our brothers and sisters abroad to prepare for active political participation and to return home to help rebuild this nation from the ruins of corruption and misrule.
The party has reiterated the need for an end to politics of tokenism and conmanship in the country.
Malala also faulted Government and specifically Deputy President Kithure Kindiki and Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen over sentiments that Gachagua will be arrested upon arrival.
Malala claimed that government’s plan upon Gachagua’s arrival at JKIA is to abduct, intimidate, brutalize and eventually place him under house arrest, cut him off from his supporters, and deny him the right to address the nation.
The former Kakamega Senator called on government no to go that direction as it will not mean for the nation.
“They did this during his impeachment, He responded by asking his supporters to stand down and protest by singing melodies but this time round, let the plotters know that the song is different , the rhythm tougher
and we will turn it into a cacophony of defiance-There comes a time when
enough has to be enough and that time is now!,” stated Malala.
Meanwhile, the DCP party has also weighed in on possible Flight Diversion Scheme.
Deputy Party Leader Cleophas Malala stated that Nelson Koech, Chair of the national assembly Defence Intelligence and Foreign
Relations Committee, has revealed another calculated provocation: a plan to divert H.E. Gachagua’s flight to Mombasa or Kisumu International airport so that they deny him an opportunity to give a much anticipated address to the nation.
According to Malala, this will not only disrupt the travel plans of innocent passengers but also risk damaging Kenya’s foreign relations.
“Our message is simple: we will not be intimidated. If they divert the plane, our
supporters in Kisumu and Mombasa will turn those airports into oceans of DCP
colours and defiance. Our leaders have been tear-gassed, beaten, and humiliated in several parts of the country including: Kakamega, Subukia, Gilgil, Murang’a,
and even within the walls of sacred places of worship.
DCP party has called on Kenyans and supporters in Nairobi, Kisumu, and Mombasa to turn up in unprecedented numbers.
The party added that Gachagua has cut short his trip to return home and give leadership in the coming by-elections.
“This is a moment of reckoning – I urge all DCP supporters and kenyans yearning for change to turn up in large numbers at JKIA
to welcome our beloved leader-your presence is your power, your numbers are
your shield, your unity is our victory. The Struggle Continues. The Democracy for the Citizens Party’s message is clear: Kenya will not be auctioned. Together, we will reclaim our country, restore truth, dignity, and
justice, and build a government that serves with humility.
