Dandelion Africa cements partnership with County Government of Baringo

Mogotio-based Dandelion Africa NGO will continue to partner with the county government of Baringo on matters empowering health systems.

This was revealed during a recent courtesy call by the NGO to Baringo County Governor Benjamin Cheboi.

A meeting attended by the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) Devolution, Public Participation, County Administration & Special Programs Liaison Officer.

Dandelion Africa Director Wendo Aszed revealed that the meeting discussed possible areas of partnership and strengthened relations with the county’s collaboration on the NGO’s thematic areas.

“Among the issues deliberated upon, was the strengthening of the health facilities, training Community Health Promoters on electronic community health information system(eCHIS), advocacy in schools, and more climate-smart engagement with women-led groups,” she said.

Wendo lauded the continued support from the county leadership of Baringo.

On his part Governor Cheboi lauded Dandelion Africa terming the organization ‘a source of hope and instigator of change in Baringo county.

“Dandelion has, from its inception, revolutionized health management across the county . Their revolutionary efforts striving not only to empower the county health systems to reduce the number of women who die from childbearing but also to push into maternity to guarantee every mother receives the treatment they deserve,” stated Cheboi.

According to Cheboi, Dandelion has been relentless in pursuit of a well-developed standard and primary health infrastructure in Baringo.
