MP Kositany faults government over age restrictions at worship places

Even as worship places resume, Soi Member of Parliament Caleb Kositany has faulted the government over restriction on age.

The government has barred citizens of 58 years and above from worship places due to the risk they are at.

However, Kositany who is also the Deputy Secretary General Jubilee Party says the restriction is uncalled for as the 58 years and above citizens still mingle with the other members at home.

Kositany who spoke in Nakuru on Saturday says the government should allow worship places to go about with their activities without any interference as long as they comply with Ministry of Health guidelines.

“The government should not restrict churches so much. As long they comply with COVID-19 guidelines, let them operate freely” he said.

The Lawmaker has also raised concern on the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority tender towards the fight on COVID-19.

He says the tender of more than Sh 7 billion was done in contrary to the law to benefit a few individuals politically within the Jubilee administration.

He has raised concerns on the quality of the items purchased.

The Legislator was speaking on Saturday during a funeral at Bahati,in Nakuru County.
