County to address challenges facing Langalanga Hospital

The county government of Nakuru will address challenges facing Langalanga Sub county hospital in Nakuru East.

This was reiterated by CECM for Health Roselyn Mungai made an impromptu visit to the facility as well as Bondeni Dispensary in Mithonge.

At Mithonge, she observed the successful implementation of integrated outpatient services, optimizing staffing and enabling more efficient service delivery.

She also discussed the possibility of establishing targeted youth-friendly services within the facility.

At Langalanga, the CECM engaged with clients and healthcare workers, identifying areas most affected by staffing challenges across the county.

She noted that the facility continues to provide 24-hour services despite these pressures.

The CECM encouraged the staff, highlighting Governor Susan Kihika’s commitment to addressing these challenges progressively.

She praised the healthcare workers for their increased maternity services, with an average of 30 to 40 babies delivered each month.

Additionally, she acknowledged progress in completing a medical waste shredder unit at the facility.

She mentioned that construction of a generator shed is expected to start soon, following the recent project handover.

Facilities across the county continue to provide essential health services to citizens.

These monitoring visits aim to recognize successes while working alongside healthcare workers to identify solutions for existing challenges.
