Nakuru County Secretary Dr.Samuel Mwaura has reiterated Governor Susan Kihika’s commitment towards collaborating with all elected leaders in ensuring service delivery to the people.
Speaking at Makuti area in Kivumbini where he supervised the ongoing unclogging of drainage system on Kipkelion Road as well as Mumias Road, the County Secretary lauded the locals for their continued support towards Kihika’s administration.
He added that the county remains committed towards ensuring youth and women also benefit from job opportunities that come up.
The County Secretary who was accompanied by Francis Njoroge from Governor’s Political Office, Martin Gicinga and Roads Chief Officer Ken Mugo also urged the locals to shun divisive politics, but rather work with the County Government of Nakuru under Governor Susan Kihika as well as other elected leaders who have one agenda of making Nakuru better.
“We are here on behalf of Governor who has send us. The Governor is focused on development agenda and we want to ensure that whenever job opportunities arise the locals in the area benefit through job opportunities,” he said.
Sentiments that were echoed by Francis Njoroge and Martin Gicinga.
The duo urged locals to rally behind Governor Susan Kihika’s administration adding that the Governor has great development agenda for the people of Nakuru.
Locals-majority of whom women and youth thanked the county government of Nakuru under Governor Susan Kihika for job opportunities availed through the exercise.
Also present was Evans Ekaliche from Nakuru Town East MP David Gikaria’s office, Peter Ekokola from office of area MCA Neto Sakwa, Governor Mashinani Kivumbini Ward representative Amadi Kahero among others.
A similar exercise was also carried out in Biashara and Flamingo Wards of Nakuru East Sub county.
The exercise will go long way in mitigating the risks associated with storm water drainage overflow through collective action in addressing common challenges.
